My mom died on Wednesday after kicking cancer’s ass for over four years. Knowing she was sick didn’t make it any easier. She was an extraordinary woman and I miss her terribly already

OK - what is it about hair salon owners that makes them give their businesses such punny names, generally playing on the word “hair”? weird times
Not so sure how to answer the “How are you?” question these days. There is a ton of heavy shit going on: immediate family getting very close to dying, others struggling with horrible illnesses and everyone completely freaked out about the economy and their future.
All of this is very sad and troubling. It often weighs heavily on me and I find myself in tears at random moments.
